MailChimp is an email marketing service. You can export your contacts from TeamGram to MailChimp. You can then send newsletters and other email campaigns to them.
Get Your MailChimp API Key
- Login to your mailchimp account and go to the API Keys page (Account > Extras > API Keys).
- Click on the Create A Key button.
- Find the newly generated API key on the page. The key is a long stream of digits and letters. Note that the key may not fit the text area available for it. Be sure to copy all of it.
Get Your MailChimp Account Ready
MailChimp can maintain multiple lists for different purposes. Before you export you contacts, you must decide which MailChimp list you want to export your TeamGram contacts to.
You can also export contacts with different tags to different MailChimp lists.
Make sure your lists are properly setup in MailChimp. Read MailChimp support documents to learn more about setting up lists.
Enter Your MailChimp API Key into TeamGram
- Login to TeamGram.
- Go to Control Panel > Integrations > MailChimp.
- Paste your MailChimp API Key into the field provided.
- Save
- Press the Test button and make sure it becomes green.
Your TeamGram and MailChimp accounts are now connected.
Exporting All TeamGram Contacts to a MailChimp List
- Go to Control Panel > Integrations > MailChimp.
- Click on the Export My TeamGram Contacts button.
- Select the MailChimp list that will receive the exported contacts.
This operation may take some time to complete. Go to the Lists page of your MailChimp account to check your list.
Exporting Only Contacts with a Certain Tag
Instead of exporting all contacts, you can also choose to export only contacts that have a certain tag.
- Click on a tag in TeamGram to list all items with that tag.
- Click on Export to MailChimp link above the list of found contacts.
- Select the MailChimp list that will receive the contacts.
Vieweing MailChimp Activity in TeamGram
To view the email campaigns sent, received and opened by a contact:
- Open the contact’s page.
- Click on the MailChimp tab.
The MailChimp tab may not be displayed if there is no campaign activity.
