What is a “Smart Link”?
Smart Link is a feature that allows you to add clickable links to your email templates and automatically tag the contacts who click on them. This helps you track customer interests without manual effort.
How Does It Work?
With the Smart Link feature, you can insert special links into your email templates from the control panel. Each link is configured to assign a specific tag to the contact who clicks it.
To create a new Smart Link:
Go to More > Control Panel > Email Templates > Smart Links from the top menu in TeamGram and create a new link.
Example Scenario
Let’s say you add the following two links to your email template:
- “Click here if you’re interested in the CRM Express plan”

- “Click here if you’re interested in the CRM Premium plan”

To insert these links into your email template:
Go to More > Control Panel > Email Templates, select the template you want to edit, click the Edit button, and use the Insert Custom Word option to add your Smart Links to the desired section.

When your customer receives and interacts with the email:

- If they click the link for CRM Express, the system will automatically tag them with “CRM Express”.
- If they click the link for CRM Premium, they will be tagged with “CRM Premium”.
